Gas Trailing Shields

Gas trailing shields or trailing cups are an available option used for providing enhanced shielding gas coverage on materials that are sensitive to oxidation such as nickel, cobalt or titanium alloys. These shields are attached to the torch, and flood the area behind the torch with shielding gas, and thus shielding the section of weld that has just been welded, and most susceptible to oxidation.
