Model 9E Series
(Off-Set Weld Heads)
The Model 9E series weld heads are available to weld tube or pipe sizes from 0.25” to 6.625” (6,35 to 168,3mm) O.D. Although these heads can weld straight lengths of tube or pipe or long-tangent fittings, their primary purpose is welding fittings with very short stick-out, such as: pipe elbows with short tangents, tees with short legs, short sanitary ferrules, etc. This is accomplished with an off-set electrode, positioned close to one side of the weld head. A single extra-wide tube clamp is used to support the weld head while a gas seal (to maintain shielding gas coverage) is used on the other side of the head.

  • Built-in water-cooling manifolds - When used with the 207-CW or 107-CW water cooling units, the internal weld head components and the weld head cables are cooled, allowing high duty-cycle welding of wall thicknesses up to approximately 0.154” (3,9mm)
  • Conversion kits are available for most Model 9E series heads
  • Compatible with Arc Machines’ 207, 227, 207-HP and 415 power supplies

Conversion Kits for All Model 9 Weld Heads
Most Model 9 series weld heads may be converted to an alternate configuration (Model 9, 9AF, 9E, or 9CT) by installing a conversion kit. For example: A basic Model 9-1500 may be converted to a 9E-1500, 9AF-1500, 9CT-1500 or vice-versa. The conversion takes 5-10 minutes, using only a screwdriver and a hex wrench.
