| The Models 8-2000, 8-4000 and 8-6625 weld heads are now more versatile than ever before. New production heads can now be fitted with Model 9 type gas seals for welding a component that has little or no stick-out length, such as a pipe elbow, tee or valve body. Another available option is a clamp insert spacer. This spacer repositions the clamp insert further outboard, providing clearance inside the head to allow for the use of our Fitting Support Mandrel. The Fitting Support Mandrel is used to support pre-tacked assemblies such as sanitary ferrules to fittings, or other similar components. A tungsten extender and an adjustable angle electrode holder are also available. These options position the electrode closer to the clamp insert, allowing the welding of components which were previously too short to reach the electrode.
