The photos depict heat exchangers which were manufactured in November through December, 1988 for Inoxidables de Columbia Ltda. to be installed in a coffee processing plant in Colombia.

Strict sanitary manufacturing and welding standards were used for the tube-to-tube and tube-to-tubesheet welding of the lyophilization loop. There were a total of approximately 2,600 welds on 1" and 1-1/2", 14 BWG, 304L stainless steel.

The largest of the heat exchangers was 1.2 meters O.D. and 100% helium leak test was required for fabrication approval. Welding operators used the Arc Machines, Inc. Model 207 power supply with the Model 9-2500 orbital tube weld head and the Model 96 fusion tube-to-tubesheet weld head. In a one year period there were no weld rejects.
